Manassas, VA Didlake Incorporated, a Manassas-based non-profit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for people with disabilities, has signed a contract to provide complete mailroom services for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The five-year contract was awarded under the Javits-Wagner O’Day (JWOD) Program, which uses the power of the federal government to buy products and services from participating state and private nonprofit agencies that train and employ individuals with disabilities. Didlake is a primary employer of people with disabilities under the JWOD program.
Didlake’s experience in mailroom services dates back to 1992, and has earned them a reputation for providing outstanding customer support and exceeding contract performance requirements throughout several federal agencies. The HUD project is a natural expansion of Didlake’s mailroom services for the Department of Energy, Army National Guard, GSA, FBI and the Peace Corps. At each location, Didlake provides complete mailroom operations that include the same service standards required by GSA on behalf of the federal government.
Rex Parr, President & CEO of Didlake Incorporated remarked, “It is a pleasure to provide service for the people at HUD, knowing that they create housing opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable for so many Americans. In that respect, HUD’s mission is similar to Didlake’s and to that of the JWOD program.”
