Manassas, Va.- Didlake, Inc., an award-winning contract services provider dedicated to enriching the lives of people with disabilities, today unveiled a new logo and brand identity. The new brand was developed following several years of unprecedented growth and is considered an important step in the transformation of the organization’s external communications to better support its larger operations.
The new Didlake logo features a bold type treatment of the Didlake name presented in black and accented with a blue star.
“We have taken a fresh look at the images and messages that make up the Didlake identity,” said Didlake’s President and CEO, Rex Parr.” Media consultants then worked with internal and external stakeholders to develop a unique representation of the spirit of our organization. The new brand reaffirms that Didlake stands for quality, forethought, and a rare understanding of the significant contributions of people with disabilities to society and the work place.”
Didlake offers two areas of expertise; award-winning business services for government agencies and Fortune 500 companies, and internationally accredited rehabilitative services for people with disabilities that lead to new opportunities and socially valued roles within the community. During the past three years, Didlake operations have expanded across the board, including:
- 20 percent increase in the number of people served to a total of 1,400 individuals annually
- 65 percent increase in annual operating budget from $21 million to $32 million
- 47 percent increase in service locations to a total of 31 sites
- More than 300 individual employment sites located throughout Virginia, the District of Columbia, and suburban Maryland
- 30 percent increase in community-based employment programs to encompass a total of 1,050 workers
Today, Didlake is a significant regional employer and one of Virginia’s largest rehabilitative service providers. Also, Didlake is a major contract services provider in the AbilityOne Program-a federal government initiative that provides employment opportunities for people who are blind or have severe disabilities in the manufacture and delivery of products and services to federal government agencies. The AbilityOne Program is the largest source of employment of people with severe disabilities in the United States.
