June 2, 2009 / Didlake / News

Manassas, VA – Joe Lewis, Quality Control Manager for the Boone Clinic, received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Commanding Officer at the Naval Amphibious Base at Little Creek in Norfolk, Virginia.  The plaque reads, “In appreciation of your tireless efforts and commitment to excellence during Admiral Joel T. Boone Branch Health Clinic’s $6,000,000 renovation project from August 2007 to June 2009.”
Didlake provides custodial services at the Boone Clinic employing 14 individuals with disabilities under the AbilityOne Program.  Allen Otis, Director of Operations for the Hampton Roads area adds, “Joe ensured all 24 contractors renovating Boone Clinic cleaned up after themselves daily and that the Medical Clinic was “hospital clean” each day.  He also ensured that Didlake employees maintained the highest quality of cleanliness throughout the 24 hours a day, six days a week, 18 month renovation.  Much of this quality assurance was provide as a “value added” service to the customer.
For more than ten years, Joe Lewis has proven his job dedication.  Otis continued to say, “Joe is never bound or constrained by his job description or scope of assigned duties.  He consistently and actively seeks out areas needing improvement, follows through, and invariably yields superb results.”  Congratulations to Joe on a job well done!
