Didlake is proud to sponsor a sensory-friendly performance of Annie the musical, performed by the Prince William Little Theatre on Saturday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. The musical will be held at the Hylton Performing Arts Center, Gregory Family Theater. A small disability community fair will be held before the event in the Didlake grand foyer.
This performance is designed to create a performing arts experience that is welcoming to anyone with sensory sensitivity. It is the second time Didlake has teamed up with the Prince William Little Theatre and the Hylton Performing Arts Center to provide a sensory-friendly musical for the community.
Didlake’s Director of the Autism Center of Excellence and Vice President of Advocacy and Public Policy, Rachel Payne, is providing consultative services to the PWLT to ensure the performance is both entertaining and accessible.

Performance Accommodations:
- Lower sound level, especially for startling or loud sounds
- Lights remain on at a low level in the theater during the performance
- A reduction of strobe lighting or lighting focused on the audience
- Patrons are free to talk and leave their seats during the performance
- Designated quiet areas within the theater
- Space throughout the theater for standing and movement
- Hylton Center staff trained to be inviting and accommodating to families’ needs

About Prince William Little Theatre
Prince William Little Theatre (PWLT) is a community theater organization based in Manassas, Virginia, Prince William County. Providing quality local community theater since 1984, we are a volunteer non-profit organization partly funded by grants from the Prince William County Park Authority, the City of Manassas, and private contributions. We provide quality community theater productions (musicals, plays, drama, comedy, and one-act performances) several times a year as well as fundraisers. Beginning in 2010, PWLT began performing at the Gregory Family Theater in the Hylton Performing Arts Center at the George Mason University Campus located in Manassas, Virginia located in Prince William County.
