A Proclamation to recognize Lynda McPherson, a Didlake executive, for her outstanding service to the citizens of Fauquier County was issued at the January 13 meeting of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors.  Ms. McPherson served as Chairman of the county’s Disability Services Board from 1993 through 2004 and has, according to the proclamation, ‘demonstrated a life-long and tireless advocacy for the disabled…’ Her contributions include assistance with drafting and implementing the Fauquier County Grievance Policy, training County staff on the Americans with Disabilities Act, work with the local Planning District to study transportation issues and their relationships to disabled citizens, and the development of camps for children with disabilities.  Ms. McPherson is a Corporate Analyst at Didlake Inc.  She resides in Fauquier County with her husband Gary.
