Manassas, VA (03/24/2022) – Didlake Chief Operating Officer Joseph Diaz was recently named one of the Top 100 Chief Operating Officers of 2022 by Alumni Spotlight. Diaz has served as COO of Didlake, a nonprofit that connects people with disabilities to employment and community engagement opportunities, since February of 2020.
The Top 100 list, released March 14, recognizes executive team members in charge of implementing strategy, managing change and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organizations they serve. This year’s awardees span across nearly all industries, including education, information technology, food and beverage production, healthcare, civil engineering, tourism, financial services and more. While their responsibilities vary, their overall goal remains the same – to make the company’s vision become a reality.
Diaz, who earned a master’s degree in clinical and medical social work from Rutgers University and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Rowan University, appears in spot number 45. As Didlake COO, Diaz leads the development and implementation of strategies to effectively grow the organization while ensuring financial strength, quality service and efficient use of resources. He also oversees Contract Operations and Rehabilitation Services.
“It is an honor to be recognized alongside so many talented organizational leaders from across the country,” said Diaz.
Prior to joining Didlake, he served as Senior Vice President of Operations for SourceAmerica and Executive Director for SourceAmerica’s East Region. Diaz started his career in supported employment and quickly worked his way up into executive leadership. Altogether, he has passionately worked to enrich the lives of people with disabilities for over 25 years.
“Joe’s dedication to our mission and his collaborative leadership style have been keys to his successful career, and to our organization in creating and maintaining employment and community engagement opportunities for people with disabilities,” said Donna Hollis, Didlake CEO.
