Community Inclusion Program (CIP)

Didlake envisions communities enriched by the inclusion of people with disabilities in valued social roles. We promote upward mobility by valuing their significant contributions, setting high expectations and supporting individual goals. Our Community Inclusion Program (CIP) is an internationally accredited and licensed day-support service aimed at integrating people with disabilities into the community.

Three key strengths distinguish Didlake’s Community Inclusion Program:

Highly Customized Support
Our ongoing assessment process begins with an initial 60-day review, during which Didlake staff work with new program participants to determine their strengths, needs, likes and dislikes. This information is utilized to develop a highly customized Service Plan. Throughout the year, the Individual Service Plan is monitored and updated based upon an individual’s progress and preferences.

Program Options
Individuals can choose from a variety of program options:

• Education – Adult basic education; current events; social/communication skills; independent living skills; gardening and guest speakers
• Expressive Arts – Participation in art, drama and music is guided by licensed and certified practitioners
• Vocational – Work Skills Training set in a supportive environment
• Community Outings – Educational and recreational activities such as museum tours, community events and sports

Referring agencies and family members of people with disabilities know that Didlake’s Community Inclusion Program is a trusted and reliable resource for caring and professional services. It has the highest ratio of staff-to-program participants of any Didlake program
