About the Didlake Foundation
The Didlake Foundation is a separate not-for-profit organization with the mission to support the programs and services of Didlake, Inc. It encourages philanthropic support for Didlake programs and services as well as special projects, such as building and capital expansion.
Family members, business partners and community volunteers work with Didlake Foundation staff to promote awareness of the Didlake mission and raise money to support its programs. In keeping with Didlake’s vision of communities enriched by the inclusion of people with disabilities in valued social roles, the Didlake Foundation has emphasized partnerships with other community organizations when shaping its fundraising efforts. For instance, each year, the Foundation works in partnership with the Prince William Symphony Orchestra to host the Prince William Classic Golf Tournament. In 2007, this sold-out event raised more than $100,000 with proceeds benefiting both organizations.
One of the priorities of the Foundation is building the resources and capabilities of Didlake’s Personal Support Network, launched in 2007, to provide long-term support for persons with disabilities who outlive their primary caregivers. If you or a loved one has a disability and are faced with planning for an uncertain future, or if you are interested in including The Didlake Foundation in your long-term giving plans, we welcome your inquiries.
