Didlake, Incorporated Breaks Ground for New Fauquier County Business Services Center Building

11/19/06

OPAL, VA. Employees and members of the Didlake, Inc. Board of Directors gathered with representatives of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, The Fauquier Bank and builder R. Edward Daffan, Inc. to break ground for construction of a new 4,600 square foot building on Rte 17 in Fauquier County, VA. The new building will house operations for Didlake's Business Services Center in Fauquier County replacing an existing facility located on Rte. 29 in Remington.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured remarks by Ray Graham, Cedar Run District Supervisor and Chairman of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, who stated "This building will provide a better work environment and more employment opportunities for citizens with disabilities in Fauquier County. Didlake has been an excellent community partner for many years, and we're very pleased to know they will be here for many more years to come".

Approximately 35 Didlake employees will relocate to the new building where they will provide bulk mailing, packaging and light assembly services for area businesses. The Business Services Center is one of several small businesses owned and operated by Didlake, Inc. that provide employment for people with disabilities. A second Business Services Center is located in Manassas, VA on Breeden Ave.

Design and construction of the building are being provided by R. Edward Daffan, Inc., of Manassas, Virginia. Financing is being provided by The Fauquier Bank.
